Week 11 Waiver Picking.

Holy crap, it's Week 11.

At this point, you have some clarity about whether or not you're going to make your fantasy playoffs. Hopefully, you're either in or in contention. If not, you're trying to keep your nemesis from making them. There aren't as many teams on bye this week, so I expect you have someone to fill in. However, if you need a spot start, check out these folks.
QUARTERBACKS

Robert Griffin III (vs. Tampa Bay)

Great matchup here, and RGIII has to prove he’s the starting option for Washington still. His return was spoiled by a loss, and he’s had all of his bye week to think about it. I think he has a gameplan to destroy the awful Bucs this week.

Mark Sanchez (@ Green Bay)

Looked excellent in this offense in primetime – almost didn’t look like the Sanchez of old. He’s still nervous to throw outside the numbers, but I think Chip Kelly’s system could turn even Sanchez into a top-12 fantasy QB. Good test for him this week, and I think he’s up to it.

Josh McCown (@Washington)\

On the other side from RGIII, I think McCown has a good day against Washington’s terrible secondary. While the Washington defense has shown flashes of excellence, I think McCown is good for a couple of touchdowns here.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Jordan Mathews (@ Green Bay)

He had his coming out party on Monday Night Football, and I expect his production to continue. He’s ahead of Cooper, and has good chemistry with Sanchez. He’s a WR2/high end flex the rest of the way.

Jerricho Cotchery (vs. Atlanta)

Cam Newton did not look good Monday, but he still can pass. At home versus Atlanta I expect him to spread the ball around beyond just Benjamin. Cotchery will get some catches against Atlanta’s secondary.

Jarvis Landry (vs. Buffalo)

He’s a good complement to Mike Wallace, and tends to get open fairly often. With the RB situation in flux, I expect Miami to throw the ball a lot. Landry will get the rock more than Hartline, and is a good add this week.

RUNNING BACKS

Ryan Mathews (vs Oakland)

San Diego is going to be desperate to put points on the board after being shut out last time they took the field. Oakland is bad. Ryan Mathews is finally back and healthy. You do the math… I’m not concerned about the other SD running backs.

DeAngelo Williams (vs Atlanta)

Again, I expect Carolina to actually do well against Atlanta. Williams looked pretty good against Philly, and I think he’ll do well again against Atlanta. What do you expect Carolina to do – let Cam Newton run it?

Montee Ball/CJ Anderson (@ St. Louis)

One of these guys will emerge as the lead while Hillman is down (not Thompson, never Thompson). Montee Ball lost weight and apparently looks good in practice, better than he was before. He wants the starting gig back. But Anderson produced well last week. No matter who is the back in Denver, they’ll produce. But who is the back in Denver?

TIGHT ENDS

Mychal Rivera (@ San Diego)

This guy is legit, and Derek Carr likes to throw to him. With Andre Holmes putting up spotty production and DMC not producing like we want him to – I think Rivera is the only usable fantasy option in the Oakland fantasy wasteland.

Kyle Rudolph (@ Chicago)

Coming back from groin surgery, this guy is set up to excel. He was a preseason favorite who was injured early on. He’s likely available in your league, so get him. I think he does well the rest of the year.

Jared Cook (vs Denver)

Denver lets tight ends score, and Jared Cook scores. Do the math. He’s put up solid production in the second half of the season so far, and I expect that to continue. He’s in the TE 8-12 range for the rest of the season.
