Monday night game hasn't happened yet. But here's some recap from this weekend to keep you going.
Antonio Brown
Disappoints…
…but has Tennessee next week. Big Ben loves him, and he just
had a bad day. Fantasy owners should be looking forward to his matchup/bounce
back against the Titans. Like this:
Matt Ryan Sucks
In case you needed a wake-up call, Matt Ryan sucks. After a
hot start to the year, he’s been barely usable the past 5 games and couldn’t
get it done against the Bucs. The Bucs are TERRIBLE. Drop him in a standard 10-team.
Calvin Johnson Is
Back
No one was surprised that Matthew Stafford went right back
to feeding his favorite receiver. Golden Tate continued to produce, but that
won’t continue. Sell high on Tate while you can. Johnson does this:
Carson Palmer Out
Carson Palmer enjoyed his shiny, new $50 million dollar
contract for less than 72 hours. He went down in the 4th quarter
yesterday, tearing his ACL. He said he knew he had torn it immediately and that
he knew his season was over. He was 13-2 in his last 15 starts and looked to
take the Cardinals to the Super Bowl… which Arizona is hosting this year.
However, he has $20 million guaranteed in his contract, so I guess he better
start getting ready for next year.
Former Cal RB’s:
Lynch, Forsett, Anderson
What do C.J. Anderson, Justin Forsett, and Marshawn Lynch
have in common? They all went to Cal, and they all were in the top 3 RB scores
this week (before Monday’s game, that is). Money Lynch is back.
Vick Performed
Well, Mike Vick won his first start in forever. And it was an
upset against the Steelers… impressive. He looks good in this offense. Of
course, anyone looks better than Geno Smith. You could do better than Geno
Smith.
Lions RBs
You don’t want to start any of these guys. Theo Riddick had 3
touches, Reggie Bush had 4 touches, and Joique Bell had 12… none of those have
RB1 volume, and Bell barely has RB2 value. And against Arizona next week? NOPE.
Chiefs WR’s TD Drought
The Chiefs WR corps has officially gone 12 regular-season
games without a touchdown. That is all you need to know about whether or not
you should own one of them, much less start one. If you do, Sansa says
DeMarco Murray loses
a touchdown to Wembley’s Turf
Forget helmet hair, DeMarco had to come off the field
because of turf stuck in his helmet. While he was off, Joseph Randle scampered
in for a TD. GAH. Murray was on the sideline watching Randle take his touchdown
like:
Bronco’s RBs
Denver’s backfield is crowded, and Coach Fox has said he’s
going to go with whoever’s not injured. With Montee Ball coming back, CJ
Anderson healthy, and Ronnie Hillman day-to-day, who can you trust here? NO
ONE. It’s a revolving door.
